This policy explains how the GPS Map Camera: GeoStamp app ("GPS Camera", "we", "our") handles your data. Your privacy matters. This app is designed to be local-first: your captures stay on your device.
GPS Camera is a local-first app. Photos, videos, location stamps and settings are processed and stored entirely on your device. The app does not require an account, does not upload your media, and does not share your captures with any service.
Camera: used to take photos and record videos. Microphone: used to capture audio with video recordings. Location: used to stamp latitude, longitude, address and time onto your captures. Photos (media library): requested only when you save a stamped photo or video to your device library. You can revoke or change any permission at any time in your device settings.
To turn coordinates into a readable address, the app sends your latitude and longitude to the Google Geocoding API over a secure HTTPS connection. No name, media or other data is sent. Lookups may be cached on your device so repeated visits reuse the same address. Coordinates and time are stamped on-device and never leave the app.
The free version of the app shows ads served by Google AdMob. As part of serving and measuring ads, the AdMob SDK may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address and app interaction data. Where required by law or regulation, you will be asked to choose whether you want personalized ads before they are shown; otherwise, non-personalized ads are served. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings.
Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Google Play. The app does not receive or store your payment details.
The app does not currently collect analytics data.
Because your photos, videos and settings stay on your device, you can delete them at any time — either from inside the app's gallery or by removing the app from your device. No account is needed to request deletion.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The latest version is always shown here and in the app's store listing.
